Stutton Playgroup – An “Outstanding” Provider (Ofsted, 2011)

Stutton Playgroup’s highly qualified staff provide outstanding, top quality care and education for children aged two to five years, in accordance with the government’s Early Years Foundation Stage.

The setting is situated in the picturesque village of Stutton, just outside Tadcaster, in North Yorkshire.

The setting was inspected by Ofsted on 23rd May 2011 and the overall quality of the provision was judged as Outstanding – with all 17 judgements being graded as Grade 1 – “Outstanding: this aspect of the provision is of exceptionally high quality”.  We have consistently received “Highly Effective Setting” status from North Yorkshire County Council.

Stutton Playgroup is a non-profitable charity (registered charity number 1042967) with a voluntary management committee.  Stutton Playgroup was created in 1971 and continues to develop professionally in order to meet the ever changing needs of the early years sector.

Stutton Playgroup offers full day care or sessional care, five days a week during term time.  Parents have the flexibility of choosing sessions to suit their needs and the needs of their children.

Stutton Playgroup offers government funded places for children the term after their third birthday until they reach statutory school age i.e. the term after their fifth birthday.

It also provides support to children with special educational needs and works closely with multi-agencies to ensure that the individual needs of all children and their families are met.
